Toy Box ofrece sus servicios a niños y niñas desde edad temprana, sin importar si andan o no, ya que estamos ampliando la oferta a bebés, introduciendo el inglés como lenguaje oído desde la cuna.

Los alumnos se pueden quedar en el centro hasta la fecha de su ingreso en la Escuela Primaria.

Toy Box offers its services to children from a very early age, whether they have started walking or not as we are extending our offer to babies, who will have the advantage of hearing English spoken from the cradle.

Pupils have the possibility of remaining in the centre until their entrance in Primary School.

With regard to artistic and musical activities, we are delighted to have the collaboration of Gorgoritos, which offers its classes and workshops in our Nursery.

Toy Box comenzó en 1994 gracias a una madre inglesa que quiso proporcionar a sus hijos un entorno educativo angloparlante. Su necesidad la llevó a emprender la primera Escuela Infantil Inglesa en Granada.

Desde entonces muchas niñas y niños se han beneficiado de la experiencia de estar en Toy Box y a día de hoy, se ha convertido en la mejor respuesta a la demanda que tienen muchas madres y padres de proporcionar a sus hijxs una educación preescolar 100% internacional.

Nuestros alumnos son tratados como individuos, el entorno está preparado según la estructura de María Montessori y nos esforzamos a ayudar a los niños a ser: sociables, felices, con interés en el mundo que les rodea y ansiosos a asistir y participar en todo tipo de actividad educativo

El curso escolar 2020-2021 comienza bajo la dirección de 2 madres de alumnas con la misión de darle continuidad al proyecto inicial, incorporando un equipo experto y vocacional, potenciando los valores humanos y educativos, así como la filosofía Montessori y la docencia 100% en inglés.

Toy Box began in 1994 thanks to an English mother who wanted to provide her children with an English-speaking education and environment. This led to her being a pioneer in starting the first English nursery school in Granada.

Since then, many children have benefited from the experience of attending Toy Box Little School of English, which has become the answer to the demands of many parents and provides their children with a 100% international pre-school education in Granada.

Our pupils are treated as individuals, the environment is prepared according to the structure of Maria Montessori and every effort is given to help the children become: sociable, happy, interested in the world that surrounds them and eager to attend and participate in all kinds of educational activities.

The 2020-2021 school year begins under the direction of two mothers of pupils whose aim is to give continuity to the initial project, incorporating an expert and dedicated team who will give most importance not only to the human and educational values but also to the Montessori philosophy and the use of English 100% of the time.

En Toy Box creemos que el primer período del desarrollo humano es el más importante. Es la etapa de la vida en la cual debemos invertir mayor esfuerzo educativo, no porque consideremos al niñx como un ser débil que necesita de muchísima ayuda, sino porque sabemos que está dotado de grandes energías creativas, pero de una naturaleza tan frágil que exigen, para no ser menguadas y heridas, de una gran comprensión, empatía y apoyo. Debemos tomar conciencia de las dificultades con las que un niñx se encuentra cuando se enfrenta a un mundo diseñado por y para el adulto, en el que él y ella han sido olvidados y dejados de lado.

Nosotras apostamos por la crianza respetuosa, basada en la dignificación del menor y el respeto real al mismo. Es por esto que damos mucha importancia a la forma en la que nos comunicamos con lxs niñxs y seguimos la propuesta de Marshall Rosemberg de comunicación no violenta, basada en aprender a reflejar nuestras necesidades, nuestros sentimientos y nuestros verdaderos deseos, sin exigencias, siempre dejando las críticas y juicios a un lado. De la misma forma, hacemos hincapié en la importancia de la escucha activa y en el desarrollo de la empatía que implica ponernos en el lugar de la otra persona y entenderla.

In Toy Box, just like María Montessori, we believe that the first stage of human development is the most important. It is the first period of life in which we should invest the greatest educational effort, not because we believe that the child is defenceless and needs our total support but because we know that it is gifted with great creative but fragile energy and therefore requires great understanding, empathy and support in order to avoid diminishing or harming it. We must be aware of the difficulties a child encounters when it faces a world designed for and by the adult, in which it has been forgotten and left by the wayside.

We are committed to a respectful parenting, based on dignifying children and truly respecting them. That is why we give such importance to the way in which we communicate with the children and why we follow Marshall Rosemberg’s approach for non-violent communication, based on learning to think about our needs, our feelings and our real desires, without making demands and always leaving aside criticism and judgment. Similarly, we should pay attention to the importance of active listening and to the development of empathy which implies putting ourselves in the place of the other person and understanding him/her.
